  1. Open the Code tab

    Sign in to Claude desktop and choose Code. Select a local execution environment below the composer; a cloud repository session does not automatically see your Downloads folder.

  2. Choose this project folder

    Use the project-folder control beside the environment selector, or the folder settings of a saved environment. For CLI, run claude from this project directory.

  3. Read the entry and approve a plan

  • 2026-10-14: Scoped personal-package first read, plan, prepare and preview passed in actual macOS WorkBuddy and Codex cases. This does not establish acceptance for all ChatGPT desktop conversations, templates or full exports.
  • ChatGPT entry/permission guidance was checked against the official Work guide and permissions guide. Use actual conversation capabilities. Explain usage from public instructions first; report file/approval failures promptly and do not reuse inactive approval requests.

Read the package’s instructions and dependencies first. Confirm file and command access, and obtain user authorization before installing dependencies, using the network or reading external assets.
